Saturday, 08 August 2020, 00:10It was not easy, but in the end Barcelona managed to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Champions League. The Catalans defeated Napoli 1: 3 at the Camp Nou (2: 4 in the sum of the games), and arranged a hot date for themselves with Bayern Munich next Friday in Lisbon. Lionel Messi was once again above them all with a brilliant goal (23) and a penalty kick, which was exploited by Luis Suarez (45). Calmon Langela scored first (10), Lorenzo Insigne just shrank deep within the extra time of the first half, and Napoli would be left with only the compliments.
"The most important thing was to qualify," Luis Suarez concluded. "Our only goal was to qualify. We have to be happy with our excellent first half. Bayern? In one game, anything can happen. It's 50-50. Bayern are a great team, but we have options."
