Inter coach Antonio Conte said tonight (Sunday) that the appointment of Andrea Pirlo as the new Juventus coach makes him 'feel old'. The old lady's decision was announced last night and provoked a lot of reactions from footballers in the boot country and abroad.
"I'm definitely happy for Andrea because beyond everything he gave me when he played for me, he's an exceptional person and I have a huge fondness for him," Conte said in the run - up to Inter's game tomorrow (22:00) against Leverkusen in the Europa League quarterfinals.
Pirlo was a key player in the old lady when Conte coached there from 2011-2014 and then the two worked together when Conte was appointed coach of the Italian national team. Tonight Pirlo first referred to his appointment when he said: "It is a great honor to receive such confidence from Juventus, I am ready for the incredible opportunity I have been given".
