The Spanish national football team announced in a statement today that it will face its Portuguese counterpart, the European champion, in a friendly match next October, as part of preparations for its next matches in the European Nations League for the popular game later that month.
The match will be held in Portugal on the seventh of October before Spain continues its league career at home against Switzerland on the tenth of the same month, and then it will play away to Ukraine on the 14th of October.
The Spanish national team, which is coached by Luis Enrique, will begin its career in the European Nations League away to Germany on the third of next September and then host its Ukrainian counterpart three days later.
The last confrontation between Spain and Portugal was in the group stage of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and it was an exciting match in which Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal's star, scored a hat-trick.
