French club Bordeaux announced the dismissal of its Portuguese coach Paulo Souza and the appointment of French coach Jean-Louis Gasset to replace him.
According to the club’s official website, the team’s management decided to dismiss Souza, 49, by mutual consent, after disagreements with him, and to appoint the 66-year-old Frenchman, Jean-Louis Gasset, to replace him with a one-year contract.
The new coach, Gasset, previously worked in the Bordeaux team as assistant coach Laurent Blanc between 2007 and 2010, before taking on the same task in the French national team and in the Paris Saint-Germain team, reaching overseeing Montpellier 2017 and Saint-Etienne 2017-2019.
