Jadon Sancho will also play for German runner-up Borussia Dortmund in the coming season. Sports director Michael Zorc confirmed this at the training camp in Bad Ragaz. In addition, Zorc said that the England international had already extended his contract last summer for a further year until June 2023 to improve pay.
"We're planning with Jadon. Jadon will play for BVB next season. The decision is definite," said Zorc.
Most recently, there was speculation about a change of the 20-year-old to the English record champions Manchester United. According to media reports, it was a transfer fee of 120 million euros. The BVB officials had recently set United a deadline for the start of the training camp in Switzerland.
From a sporting point of view, his departure would be difficult to compensate - and he would also be a big loss for the Bundesliga. Last season, the offensive player scored 17 goals and prepared 17 goals. Sancho came to BVB from Manchester City in 2017 and has since scored 34 goals and 43 assists in 99 competitive games.
