The Gilching team left no doubts in their 8-0 friendly win against Indersdorf. The eyes of the national league team are now on the state government decision.
Gilching - TSV Gilching-Argelsried is also not stingy with goals in the evening. After groundskeeper Gerald Söhnel and department head Stefan Schwartling have made sure that no one enters the gravel arena apart from the players, coaches, supervisors, referees and press representatives, the match can begin. The guests from Markt Indersdorf have already moved and entered the stadium through the entrance on the other side. “You have to go home without a shower, because our showers are still blocked,” says Schwartling. The national division has little trouble with the regional division from the Dachau hinterland and wins 8-0 after three 30 minutes.
"It was ok for the first test," says coach Peter Schmidt, who seems a bit restless on the sidelines. “We are waiting for the birth of our third child. The actual due date was on Friday, ”he explains. After all, his unusually goal-hungry team offers him a little variety. "It was a lot of fun to finally be able to play again," says TSV veteran Christoph Meißner. However, one of the Corona rules seems contradictory to him. “The referee must wear a mask when checking players. He's allowed to get very close to us on the field, ”he says, surprised.
Meanwhile, his department head is looking forward to the beginning of the week. “I assume that a decision will be made on Monday as to how things will continue,” says Schwartling, who attended a webinar organized by the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) on Friday. In his opinion, it could well be that the weekend games were the last of the year. Because if the Bavarian State Government should decide in its unscheduled meeting on Monday that no spectators are allowed in September either, the association's restart plans will probably be invalid.
