Maccabi Tel Aviv announced today (Tuesday) its first acquisition for the upcoming season when it officially signed Oz Blazer on a one-season contract.
Blazer (27, 1.99 m) reaches the Yellows after seven seasons in the Premier League, the last two of which in Maccabi Rishon Lezion in the media he became one of the top Israelis in the league and met twice in a row his new team in the Final Four.
"I want to congratulate Oz Blazer on his arrival at Maccabi, he is another quality player who will give the team great solutions and be part of our family," coach Yannis Sapropoulos said after the signing.
Blazer said: "I am happy and excited to come to Maccabi Tel Aviv. I am ready for the new challenge, to prove my place and fight for the team. There is no Israeli player who grew up here and does not know the meaning of a club like Maccabi. I am already waiting to start meeting all the players and team. "What I'm most looking forward to, and even already imagine it happening, is the return of the crowd to the pitches, and to meet the fans as a Maccabi player in the arena."
