He continues from success to success. Max Nagl does not allow himself to be disturbed by moments of shock.

Loket / Weilheim - It was a special racing weekend for Max Nagl from Weilheim. Because last Friday the motocross rider celebrated his 33rd birthday. In addition, there was a green cake from his racing team "Haas Racing". In the following races, Nagl gave himself a present and defended the lead in the overall ranking of the international Czech championship with second place in Loket. He didn't just have to endure a moment of shock.

For the German fans, Loket was one of the few nearby opportunities this year to follow their idols live on site. “Of course, fans on the track still give an extra boost,” Nagl told the specialist magazine “Speedweek” in the run-up to the weekend. “If a couple of fans came over it would definitely be something very special.” And the 33-year-old was not disappointed. Despite the high summer temperatures, numerous German fans lined the route in the west of the Czech Republic.

Nagl continues to lead the overall ranking

The first race went pretty well for Nagl. After the start, he finished third and moved up to first place after two laps. He didn't give it up until the end. It should be different for the KTM rider in the second race of the MX1 class. “At the start of the second run, the start gate spring back and hit me on the rear wheel,” he reported. Eighth place after the first lap was the result. But then Nagl drove forward quickly until he only had the leader in front of him. Then the next shock: Nagl fell after a driving mistake. “The bike was upside down down the slope, so I lost a lot of time picking up the bike,” he said. That again resulted in eighth place. But the Weilheimer did not give up and started the next race to catch up. Nagl left one driver after the other behind, only he couldn't get past Pascal Rauchenecker. In the end, he also won the race and thus the daily ranking.

The dates for the ADAC MX Masters have been set

There was news last week about the planning of the ADAC MX Masters in Germany. The racing series is to be held as a "short season". Two race weekends are planned: 19./20. September in Grevenbroich and 3./4. October in Tensfeld. Due to the special situation surrounding the corona pandemic, there will be three instead of two races per weekend. In addition to the MX Masters, the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 and the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 will also be held. Spectators are not allowed in any of the races on the track. A newly offered live stream should compensate for this. A total of 68,000 euros in prize money will be distributed.
