Barcelona (AP) - Sebastian Vettel does not expect a blatant improvement through the new chassis for his Formula 1 Ferrari.
"I don't expect miracles," said the 33-year-old four-time world champion at the press conference on the Spanish Grand Prix. But he hopes that he will have a smoother weekend and a smoother Sunday at the race (3.10 p.m. / Sky / RTL). But Vettel suspects: "It will be a tough weekend for us to bring everything together and collect points."
In the previous five races of the Corona emergency season, things went very badly for Vettel. He only got ten points out of a possible 130. But he was still relaxed, said Vettel, but also admitted that he was more in "rough seas".
The native of Heppenheim did not want to speak of frustration, however, after he had criticized the racing strategy last Sunday via pit radio and accused the Ferrari tacticians of having "screwed up". Vettel was only twelfth in the end. "We talked about it, cleared it up and move on."
He also assumes that he will not be disadvantaged in the team duel with Charles Leclerc, who has so far scored 35 points more. He trusts the people around him, emphasized Vettel, who has to leave the Italian racing team at the end of the year.
