Union without subotic to training camp

Union Berlin and Neven Subotic will go their separate ways in the future. As the Bundesliga team announced on the club side, the 31-year-old central defender will not travel to the training camp in Bad Wörishofen to "talk to other clubs. He will prepare for the new season in individual training, it said.

Subotic was transferred from AS Saint-Étienne to the Bundesliga promoted team in Berlin-Köpenick last summer and had declared staying in the league as a major goal. "Staying up in league with Union is equivalent to winning the German championship," the former BVB professional said at the beginning of last season. Now he added: "I am glad that I did my part." For the Köpernicker he was on the field for a total of 23 competitive games. Union has already signed potential successors for central defense in Robin Knoche (VfL Wolfsburg) and Nico Schlotterbeck (SC Freiburg).

Unsuccessful at Bayern too - Odriozola back to Real

Both sides had hoped for more from the loan. It is now clear that Álvaro Odriozola will leave Bayern for Real Madrid after just one year. As the "as" reports, the Madrilenians are planning with the 24-year-old. He should take up the fight with the regular right-back Dani Carvajal. Odriozola only played a total of 153 minutes at Bayern in the Bundesliga in the six months.

Bakalorz dissolves contract in Hanover

Midfielder Marvin Bakalorz is leaving the second division side Hannover 96. The 30-year-old agreed with the club to terminate his contract, which was valid until June 2022. This decision was made jointly after talks that had already started during the second half of last season, 96 said.

"The club wants to change things and take a different path. And I also had the feeling that if I wanted to look for a new challenge again, I had to do it now," said Bakalorz, who came from SC Paderborn in summer 2016. He played 107 times for the Reds, scoring two goals. He was on the pitch 19 times last season. He wore the captain's armband for almost a year and a half.

+++ BEFORE CHANGE +++

Leverkusen confirms negotiations about Havertz transfer

The transfer of national player Kai Havertz is getting closer. For the first time, Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen confirmed negotiations about a change in its internationally courted offensive player. "It was always clear that there would be talks as soon as the Europa League ended for us," said managing director Fernando Carro the "Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger". However, there is still no written offer for the 21-year-old national player.

"Kai has expressed the wish to take the next step. I cannot say at the moment whether this will work in the near future or not", added Carro. The English top club Chelsea FC has been Havertz's dream club for weeks. According to Carro, however, there are several clubs "that Kai Havertz would like to include in their future plans". The 21-year-old home grown man has been playing in Leverkusen since he was a teenager, his contract in Leverkusen expires in 2022. In the last Bundesliga season he scored twelve goals in 30 games. Leverkusen is hoping for clarity in the case by the time they return to training at the end of August.
