World Formula 1 car champions Lewis Hamilton beat all of his rivals in the second period of free trials of the Spanish Grand Prix today with Mercedes dominating again after losing to Red Bull this weekend.
The six-time world champion, who is 30 points ahead of Max Verstappen, the driver of Red Bull, who won the 70th anniversary award, after five races of the tournament, scored the best time at Circuit de Catalunya outside Barcelona, which was 1 minute 16.883 seconds.
His teammate Valtteri Bottas, who was the fastest in the morning, came second in the second period, 0.0287 seconds behind Britain's Hamilton.
