Arsenal Football Club announced today that it has signed an official contract with Willian, 32, from Chelsea until the summer of 2023.
Arsenal’s official website quoted the team’s coach, Mikel Arteta, as saying: Willian is a player who is able to make the difference for us .. we have followed him in the past months ... and we had a clear desire to support our attacking stadium and the center of the wing .. adding that the player gives Arsenal many options and he can play. In 3 or 4 different positions and has sufficient experience and still has the ambition and contribution to restore the club to its natural place among the adults.
Willian announced his departure from Chelsea last Sunday after seven years he spent with the London team, during which he scored 63 goals and made 56 in 339 games, contributing to Chelsea winning two Premier League titles and the FA Cup in 2018, as well as winning the European League Championship last year.
