Tragedy in the Netherlands: Dan Hague's youth team player drowned at the beach

Friday, 14 August 2020, 11:12Tragedy in the Netherlands: Dan Hague, who plays in the senior league in the Netherlands, announced today (Friday) that the player of the youth team, Cairan "Max" Wang, died in an unfortunate accident. "Wang and two of his friends were caught in stormy weather while spending time at sea," Dutch media reported. "They disappeared and while his two friends were being pulled from the water by passersby, Wang was not found. Only two days later passers-by found his body on the beach."
"We were shocked when we heard that Max drowned," said Dan Hague's professional director Muhammad Hamdi. "He was a lovely boy, very sociable and one that everyone loved. He was also a great talent, and I have no doubt he would have come a long way. We still do not digest and send our condolences to his family. The club will do everything he can to help and support the family in these difficult days."

Wang came with his parents from China to the Netherlands almost six years ago. He started playing football at a small club, until in 2017 he moved to the glorious academy of Dan The Hague. He is considered one of the most prominent players in the academy and even won a summons from the China Under-16 team.
