Munich - Yi-Young Park switched to the second team at FC St. Pauli for the 2015/16 season . There he played from the regional league team to the first team and, in addition to 65 games in the Regionalliga Nord, also made 27 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga . At the end of 2018 , the South Korean's contract with the second division club was prematurely extended to 2022 . Due to a shoulder injury , the 26-year-old missed most of the 2019/20 season and was now loaned to Türkgücü Munich before the restart .

How did you come into contact with Türkgücü Munich ?
My advisor informed me about the interest of Türkgücü Munich and so it took its course.
The success story of Türkgücü is remarkable. Did you notice that before ? - Did you know the club before?
I didn't know the club before, but I looked into it more closely afterwards. It's amazing how quickly they achieved their previous goals. Very impressive!

What are the first impressions of the club, the city and the surrounding area?
The first impressions are positive. I like the city very much. I was already able to look at Marienplatz with the New Town Hall, which I found very beautiful. But Munich has a lot to offer and hopefully I'll find the time to explore it all at some point. I was warmly welcomed by the club and I'm looking forward to working with them.
How were the first training sessions with the new team?
First of all, I was happy that the training finally started. The first training sessions were a little tough because of the heat, but it was still a lot of fun. Especially with the new players.

You have experience from the 2nd Bundesliga, how do you think you can help the team?
I hope that I can support the team with my experience. I want to take responsibility and spread confidence. It's also a new league for me too, and I want to adapt here as quickly as possible.

What are your personal goals for the coming season?
I want to play an injury-free season first. I will also show my full commitment in training and in the games. But the most important thing for me is that I stay healthy!
What are your goals for the team? - How do you rate the team's potential?
First and foremost, we have to grow together as a team and support each other in every way. Everyone has to feel responsible for the whole team. This is the only way we can then develop our full potential. I'm confident that we can do it and play a successful season together.
