Altach (AP) - Lucien Favre has confirmed contacts from Borussia Dortmund to the Brazilian talent Reinier from Real Madrid.
"It's not done yet, it's in the pipeline," revealed the BVB coach at the end of the 11-2 (4-1) win in the test against Austria Wien in Altach. The Swiss football teacher was also willing to comment on the qualities of the midfielder. "What I've seen is that he's very good in the final and offensively. But he still has a lot to learn at the age of 18," said Favre.
In addition to Youssoufa Moukoko (15), Jude Bellingham (17), Giovanni Reyna (17), Erling Haaland (20) and Jadon Sancho (20), Reinier would be the sixth very young professional in the BVB squad. "We're almost to school. We have to be very patient with the boys," said Favre.
According to "Mundo Deportivo", Reinier is already on the way to Dortmund. Accordingly, it should be awarded to the Revierclub by the Spanish record champions from Madrid for two years. The Brazilian U-23 international moved from CR Flamengo to Real for around 30 million euros in the winter and has only played in reserve so far. At BVB he could be planned as a second alternative for the still injured Marco Reus alongside Giovanni Reyna.
