General leader in the French Dauphin race, Slovenian Primus Roglic, withdrew today after suffering an injury yesterday.

"As a result of the accident yesterday, the overall leader Roglic will not participate in the final stage of the race today," Roglic's team, to which Roglic belongs, said on Twitter.

Roglic suffered bruises and wounds during an accident in the penultimate stage of the race yesterday, but managed to finish the stage in tenth place to maintain his position at the top of the overall standings.

With Roglic's withdrawal, Groupama's Thibaut Benno will advance to first place before the start of the final stage, which will be held today.

Colombian Igan Bernal, 23, the French champion, withdrew from the race yesterday, while the French sports newspaper L'Equipe said he was suffering from back pain.
