Barcelona (dpa) - World champion Lewis Hamilton clinched his fourth victory this year in the sixth race of the Formula 1 season.
The British Mercedes driver superiorly relegated Max Verstappen in the Red Bull to second place in the Spanish Grand Prix, thereby extending his championship lead. Hamilton's Finnish team-mate Valtteri Bottas finished third at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel finished seventh with a risky one-stop strategy.
Formula 1 will continue in two weeks with the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa-Francorchamps.
