* Sporting Lisbon have announced the signing of 33-year-old left-back Vittorino Antonesc , a former Portugal international who arrived after a two-year deal with Hattafa. Along with him came Pedro Foro , the 20-year-old defender of the young Spanish team, on loan for two years from Valladolid.
Birmingham City have signed 32-year-old midfielder George Friend , who has rejected an offer to stay with the Blues and is offered a two-year contract with the Blues, where he will reunite with former coach Aitor Cranca.
