Due to the difficulty in organizing games in different countries during this period, today (Monday) FIBA announced a change in the method of playing in the qualifying stages of the Champions League in basketball.
Instead of two stages in the home-away method, the qualifiers will be held in one city in the Final Four method. On August 21, this coming Friday, FIBA will announce when and where the games will be held.
The announcement has implications for Hapoel Tel Aviv, which will compete in the semifinals against the Danish Bakken Bers, and in the second semifinal, Mons of Belgium and Anvil Wloclawek of Poland will compete. The two winners will compete in one game for a ticket to the home stage.
