Vladan Ivic embarks on a new path. After being appointed Watford coach, the former Maccabi Tel Aviv player arrived at the Wasps training complex for the first time. He will meet his new players, deliver a premiere training and is scheduled to be unveiled later today (Monday).

As you may recall, on Saturday Ivica was officially appointed the new coach of the English team, who dropped out of the Premier League last season and will try to return to the main stage at the end of next season. The Serbian coach has signed for one season with an option for another season and will earn a little less than a million euros.

England are reacting with some skepticism to Ivica's appointment, perhaps due to the team's capricious record with coaches: no fewer than four professionals have crossed the lines of wasps in the past year - Xavi Gracia, Kika Sanchez Flores and Nigel Pearson.

Former player and commentator Gary Lineker responded with humor to a video Watford posted on Twitter, in which Ivica is seen arriving at the training complex for the first time. "Almost an hour has passed, and he's still the coach. It's impressive," he tweeted.

Unsurprisingly, in Serbia the reactions are completely different. A column praising Ivica was published in one of the sites, claiming that "he may be Serbia's next big coach."

"Moving to Watford is the start of a wonderful path for him. Ivica is considered a brilliant tactician, he has an impressive work ethic and has proven over the years that he has served as a coach tailored to the highest levels," it read.
