The Dutch coach, Ronald Koeman, who according to reports across Europe is approaching the job of Barcelona coach, spoke for the first time about the chance that he will come to the Camp Nou. She fired Kika Stein.

"I can not say much before everything is signed, still dealing with small details but it could very well be that it will be finally approved today," Koeman told Fox Sports. "I did not expect things to go so fast and it is clear to me that this is not the best timing. It surprised me too but Barcelona is the only club for which I had a release clause in my contract. It is not good for the Dutch association but it was not unexpected," he added.

Koeman played for Barcelona from 1989 to 1995 and was part of Barça's Dream Team 'as a player and later served as Louis van Gaal's assistant. Throughout the years he has always said that his big dream is to coach the Blaugrana. He was appointed coach of the Netherlands in February 2018 after the Orange failed to advance to the World Cup in Russia and his contract was due to expire after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
