After Dennis Neal, another player changes to EC Peiting. The striker comes from opponent Riessersee.

Peiting - Ehliz is a household name in German ice hockey. Yasin Ehliz has won several DEL championships with EHC Munich. He previously played for the Nürnberg Ice Tigers. The 27-year-old also took part in five world championships with the national team. Yasin Ehliz spent his youth at EC Bad Tölz - just like his younger brother Aziz. The 22-year-old left the Tölzer Löwen two years ago and joined SC Riessersee in the Oberliga Süd. Aziz Ehliz will remain in the third highest German division. In the future, however, he will wear the EC Peiting jersey.

"I'm very happy that it worked," says Ehliz according to a club announcement. “I've heard a lot of good things about the club and the village itself. This is a new challenge that I accept. ”After Dennis Neal, who came from ECDC Memmingen, Ehliz is the Peitinger's second entry this summer. “Aziz is a player with potential and he's from the region. That's exactly what we need, ”says ECP team manager Gordon Borberg. "He's a good runner and will liven up our attacking game."

He already knows the EC Peiting as an opponent

The striker played 68 times for SC Riessersee and scored 28 points. Of course, he also knows the ECP from this time. “They were always tough, exciting, close games,” says the 22-year-old. "I like the Peitinger system very much and now playing for the small Gallic village has appeal." Ehliz sees the fact that the ECP has been able to hold a large part of the squad together over the past few years as a good sign. “A constant team often stands for good chemistry,” says the Bad Tölzer native. "And I have to say, even if the fanbase isn't the biggest, it's pretty noisy in Peiting, people are close."

In September Ehliz will come to Peiting to get to know the team and the ice rink better. He already knows Daniel Reichert from their time together at SCR. "There was more contact with Ty Morris recently, he told me a lot, but otherwise a lot of new territory for me when it comes to peiting," says the left-shooter.

The back number has a special background

In terms of sport, Ehliz sees EC Peiting among the top six teams in the Oberliga Süd. To prepare for the season, he trained alone and worked through the plan of his personal coach with his brother. “Now it's about getting up to speed,” he says. He will wear the shirt number 55 for the ECP. "In Turkey, cities are marked with numbers," he explains. "My brother Yasin has the city of our father (42, Konya in Central Anatolia) on the back, I wear my mother's (55, Samsun on the Black Sea coast)." But his focus is not on: "Numbers don't mean much to me, the team counts. "
