The promoted Lensois requested an exemption to accommodate more than 15,000 spectators at the Bollaert stadium on the second day of Ligu

In front of how many people will the PSG players make their return to the French lawns? During the second day of Ligue 1, it is at the Bollaert stadium in Lens that the Parisian stars, perhaps crowned with a first European title in Lisbon, will land on August 29. An appointment that all the blood and gold people expect especially since the club, which finds the Ligue 1 after five seasons of purgatory, has already crossed the bar of 20,000 subscribers.

In order to accommodate a maximum of spectators, the leaders of RC Lens filed on Friday a derogation in order to be able to receive more than 15,000 people, as revealed on Tuesday by France Bleu.

Derogations rejected for Marseille, Bordeaux and Lorient

Information confirmed to us by the Prefecture of Pas-de-Calais, which specifies that it has not yet responded to this request. She nevertheless specifies that she "will take into account in particular the health situation of Pas-de-Calais with regard to the current progression of positive tests for the coronavirus, as well as the proposed protective measures".

Except derogation, gatherings of more than 5,000 people are prohibited in France. Olympique de Marseille, which was to receive Saint-Etienne this Friday at the start of the season but whose match was postponed due to four positive cases of Covid-19 in the ranks of Olympians, had also requested a waiver. But it was rejected, just like that claimed by Bordeaux and Lorient.
