City star Silva is going home

Ex-world champion David Silva will play for Real Sociedad in the future. The 129-time Spanish national soccer player comes from Manchester City on a free transfer and signed a two-year contract when he was sixth in the championship in the Primera Division. The club from San Sebastian announced.

The 34-year-old played his last game after ten years with the Citizens in the 3-1 loss to Olympique Lyon in the quarter-finals of the Champions League in Lisbon on Saturday when he was substituted on late. The playmaker played a total of 306 games for Manchester and won four Premier League titles with the team.

Man City had previously announced that a statue would be dedicated to the Spaniard in front of the stadium. With the Spanish national team, Silva had won the 2010 World Cup and the 2008 and 2012 European championship titles.

Lazaro returns to Rose

Borussia Mönchengladbach will apparently borrow the Austrian national soccer player Valentino Lazaro from Inter Milan. "Max Eberl and I always decide together for players. When we raise our arms and cheer, we know: That was a match. That was the case with Hannes Wolf and Valentino Lazaro," said Marco Rose from "Kicker" and the coach "Rheinische Post" quoted in the training camp in Harsewinkel.

Rose continued: "It's not Rose players, but Borussia players who make the team better. We have ambitious goals. That's why we brought them in." Apparently the five-time German champion also has a purchase option.

Lazaro moved from Hertha BSC to Inter in 2019 for a € 22 million transfer fee and was then loaned to Newcastle United in January.

Hart switches to his old days

Tottenham Hotspur have signed former international goalkeeper Joe Hart. The 33-year-old, whose contract with Burnley FC ended last season, has signed a two-year contract with coach Jose Mourinho's team. This was announced by the Spurs.

Hart replaces France's national goalkeeper Hugo Lloris with Michel Vorm from the Netherlands, whose contract had not been extended. Hart had his most successful time at Manchester City, with whom he became English champions in 2012 and 2014.
