Maccabi Tel Aviv continues to build its staff, but is having a hard time closing the vacant position in the power forward position. The Yellows submitted a bid to Quincy Acey to fill the position last season, but it seems that at this point the gaps between the parties are too big and the team have returned to the player market to try to sign another player to complete the squad.
One of the reasons for the delay in signing, was the attempt of some of the team players to keep Acey. The players, led by Othello Hunter, have stated that they want to play with Acei next season as well. According to various sources in the group, the contract extension for Icy has not yet been completely dropped from the agenda, but the gaps are still significant.
