The young player of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Danny Abdia, landed today (Wednesday) in the United States, two months before the draft that will be held in October. Abdia, accompanied by his agent Matan Simantov, will train at the P3 complex in Atlanta and prepare for the expected move to the United States, while he awaits an official announcement of the traditional draft combine, which has not yet been announced and will take place at the end of the month in Chicago.
Walla! Sport learned that the person who is expected to join Abdia in the United States at a later stage is the assistant coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv and Liko Provich, who worked closely with him in recent years and received an offer from him to join him as a personal coach after the draft, in coordination with the team. If Provich chooses to do so, he will leave Maccabi Tel Aviv, having already updated its heads on a possible move. The group is expected to give him the blessing of the road to the move.

Provich, 37, joined Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer of 2014, immediately after winning the Euroleague, and is responsible, among other things, for developing the young players - including Abdia and Dori Sahar, and formerly Dragan Bender. He was appointed the assistant coach of the Yellows in the summer of 2018 and joined the team of Nevan Safhia, and later also of Yannis Sapropoulos.
