The Jordan Football Association decided to suspend the professional league and all tournaments and technical and administrative activities in the association for a period of 14 days due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.
The Jordanian Federation said on its official website that “this came during the meeting of the emergency committee of the federation, after it was confirmed that five players from the Al-Faisaly club were infected with the Corona virus, and the health procedures that followed by isolating the infected and all their teammates, including players, coaches and administrators, in addition to subjecting all those in contact with them from other teams. And the organizational cadres for urgent medical examinations in accordance with the followed health protocol.
The Jordanian Federation added: According to isolation, quarantine and regular medical examination procedures for many players and cadres working in the Professional League and with the activation of the emergency plan, it was decided to suspend the professional league and all football activities for a period of two weeks, including all other tournaments, administrative activities and training courses in the Federation, while continuing to follow the developments of the epidemiological situation. In the country and assess the extent of its impact on the course of the league competition and other football activities before the suspension period ends.
