In the Zugspitze district, the mode of the league cup is now set. 28 of 29 teams make it into the knockout round. These fight for a place in the finals on Easter Monday.
District - The Bavarian Football Association (BFV) and the Bavarian State Government have not yet reached an agreement on whether and in what form spectators will be allowed to play football again from September. For the association, according to its own statement, this is a basic requirement in order to resume competitive game operations. Undeterred by its pending schedule, the BFV is tinkering with the new additional competition, the league cup, the planning of which is now as good as completed. The clubs in the Zugspitze district have now been informed about the planned cup modes at the various league levels. The mode and framework schedule have been known for a long time for the Bayern, state and district leagues. We have compiled the most important details for the district league, district class as well as A, B and C class.
Game dates
The same game dates are planned for all five levels. The preliminary round is played as a single round, game days are Wednesday / Thursday, 16./17. September, weekends 10/11, 17/18 and 24./25. October and Saturday, October 31st. The intermediate round (round of sixteen) is for 7./8. November planned. Final round dates are 13./14. March (round of 16), 20./21. March (quarter-finals), Easter Saturday, April 3 (semi-finals) and Easter Monday, April 5 (final).
mode
The intermediate and final round are played as knockout games without a second leg. The association reserves the right to change the form of play in the final round to tournament form. If the championship does not restart until October 1st, the league cup will be canceled. If the league cup preliminary round is interrupted after the third match day, the best 16 participants advance directly to the round of 16, the intermediate round is then canceled. If the league cup preliminary round is interrupted before the third match day or if the round of 16 is not on 20/21 at the latest. March, the league cup will be canceled.
District League
Of the 29 regional league teams, 28 reach the intermediate round, so only the worst group from the bottom of the group is eliminated (determined according to the quotient rule). In the second round, the best team from the group stage meets the 28th, the second best meets the 27th and so on. The 14 best teams of the preliminary round have home rights, the 14 winners of the intermediate round reach the second round. Of the 14 losers, the two who did best in the group stage move up into the round of 16. The matches from the round of 16 onwards will be drawn taking into account the performance in the group stage and regional factors.
District class
The table positions one to three of all nine preliminary round groups entitle to participate in the intermediate round. Then there are the five best fourth place in the table. The nine group winners and the seven best runners-up have home rights in the second round. Your opponents will be drawn taking into account regional factors - as will the other duels from the round of 16.
A class
In the A-Class, the field is the largest with 100 teams - hence the competition. Only the 17 group winners of the preliminary round and the 15 best runners-up move into the intermediate round. The best 16 first have home rights, the co-pairings are drawn from now on, taking regional considerations into account.
B class
The first two teams in each group (a total of twelve move into the intermediate round, plus the eight best group thirds. In the intermediate round, the twelve group winners and the four best runners-up have home rights, their future opponents are drawn based on regional considerations.
C class
The intermediate round in the lowest division does not apply due to a lack of registrations. All the first and second in the table of the seven groups as well as the two best thirds move directly into the round of 16. The first seven and the best second have home rights in this round. All pairings are drawn - as in the other divisions - taking regional considerations into account.
