Despite the pandemic, just watching the game on the couch at home is out of the question for most district citizens. At least a few family members have to be there. Franz Humpl from TuS Oberding will also watch the game at home or with a friend. He is critical of a public viewing: “We have ghost games for a reason. In football, emotions boil, and it's easy to forget the rules. And so many people in such a small place - the risk of infection is too high. ”Humpl actually wanted to watch the final in Istanbul, where the final was originally supposed to take place. "But the force majeure prevented my sixth final," says the TuS press spokesman. He was always there when Bayern were in a Champions League final: 2013 in London, 2011 in Fröttmaning, 2010 in Madrid, 2001 in Milan and 1999 in Barcelona. He still has a good feeling: “We win 2-1,” he says. "Lewandowski does one, and then someone will surely be found who can score a second goal."
The FC Bayern fan club “De Buchroana”, on the other hand, is not intimidated by the pandemic. “We're going to do that,” says treasurer Otto Simon. The planning for a public viewing has been going on in Buch for a few days. “We did that in 2013 as well. This year it's going to be a little bigger so that everyone has a safe place. ”On Sunday, Simon is hoping for“ a great game because both teams play offensively and have very good footballers. And hopefully we'll win in the end. "
Yalcin Gürel, also an ardent Bayern fan, says that this year won't be as nice as 2013. On the afternoon of May 25, 2013, he coached FC Türkgücü Erding to the A-class championship. And in the evening, FC Bayern won the triple. “That was a great day,” recalls Gürel, “I will probably not experience such a feeling of happiness again”. On the other hand: “If Bayern had lost to Dortmund at the time, I would have been able to cope with it earlier. After all, I was a master at Türkgücü myself. A win is therefore a must on Sunday. ”He wants to watch the game with a handful of friends in the TG club.
ZDF will broadcast the game live. A boon for restaurants? The city of Erding has at least extended the curfew on Sunday by an hour. David Ritter from the summer garden is happy: “We can sit outside until midnight, that's a great decision by the city administration.” In the summer garden, the game is then broadcast on a large TV.
