Due to two cases of positive test results for the corona virus of Maccabi Netanya players, Younes Mlada and Karem Jaber, who were tested as part of the UEFA outline, ahead of their international match with the young team, corona tests were performed yesterday (Friday) for all Maccabi Netanya players. After receiving the results it appears that all the players were found to be negative for the corona virus (including the re-examination of both players).
Accordingly, and following discussions over the past day between the chairman of the leagues, Erez Kalfon, and the Ministry of Health, it was decided that the activities of the Maccabi Netanya team, subject to continued observance of the isolation rules for football players, will continue as usual, except for the two players who were initially positive. Accordingly, the Toto Cup game scheduled for tonight (Saturday) between the Maccabi Netanya and Betar Jerusalem teams will be held as planned.
"I reiterate to teams and players the importance of maintaining home isolation and all the Ministry of Health's guidelines against the corona virus, including the rules of conduct in training and games, so that we can hold the games and prevent sports and economic harm to teams."
