FC Bayern is crowning a phenomenal season - and confirms its old final law. Besides Kingsley Coman and Manuel Neuer, another player deserves homage.

Scene of the game: In the 59th minute, a cross from Joshua Kimmich sails into the Paris penalty area, the ball becomes long and longer, all players look after it, hoping, fearful, the ball lands in the back six-yard area on the head of Kingsley Coman - and FC Bayern Munich is the winner of the 2020 Champions League.

Result of the game: FC Bayern won 1-0 (0-0) with the Coman goal. The eleventh victory of Bayern in the eleventh game of the season in the premier class. Whoever wins everything has also won everything in the end. However, it was a close game for the newly crowned triple winner, the course of which can be read here in the detailed report.

The first half: Reporters invent the term "intensive" for such halves. Mostly it is cloaked with the fact that relatively little happens, but here the word is really appropriate. First Neymar fails to Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer (18th minute), then Robert Lewandowski at the PSG post (22nd), then Kylian Mbappé is kind enough to chip the ball into Neuer just before Bayern goal (45th minute) .), and Coman stumbles in the penalty area without a penalty kick (45th + 1). Take a deep breath after 45 minutes. There was a lot going on and it was really good to watch.

The second half: Much less dynamic, but with the decisive moment. And because Neuer also prevents bad things in the second round, the Bavarians save the lead over time, with commitment, with cleverness, with great discipline. Even the inclusion of Julian Draxler and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting no longer bring the turning point for PSG. Bayern made almost no mistakes in the second half. That alone is worthy of the title.

Player of the game: Kingsley Coman scores the goal, Manuel Neuer prevents it, and yet perhaps the last opportunity should be used here to pay homage to Bayern midfielder Thiago. Since he has been in Munich, he has been scribbled on in public, he gave the hand-to-hand. Why? Because everything looks so easy with him, and lightness is what they don't like in this country. As if he wanted to do everyone a favor, he combined easy and difficult things in what was probably his last game for Bayern, toiled and played. If he should do the same at his likely new club Liverpool in the future, he will likely be praised there.

History of the game: Coman played his very first three professional games at Paris Saint-Germain, and in 2013 he came on for Marco Verratti shortly before the end. Seven years later, he made Bayern the winner against PSG, and Verratti came on shortly before the end. Everyone had already prepared for a story about the second player who knows both clubs: Juan Bernat, who divorced from Munich in a struggle. But the defender was in every way too unremarkable for a story that night.

Numbers of the game: Coman's goal was Bayern's 500th Champions League goal. The people of Munich know how to celebrate anniversaries at the right time. Anyone who has celebrated so much in their history knows when and where. PSG are obviously not that good at it yet. The French made their first competitive game exactly 50 years ago, and the club was founded in August 1970. The champagne chilled for it will become stale.

The game's insight: Whenever Bayern have clearly dominated the game in their European history, they have lost the final, against Porto in 1987, against Aston Villa in 1982, against United in 1999, against Chelsea in 2012. On the other hand, if it was a very close game, then Bayern lifted the trophy in the end. The law continues.

Bayern are the winners and they are because they were the best team at this tournament. And not only there, their second half of the season was phenomenal, with every victory under coach Hans-Dieter Flick, the self-confidence increased that they actually couldn't lose anymore. If Leroy Sané is added, they will be unbeatable for years to come.
