FC Bayern Munich: Professionals thank their fans in a special way - "We miss you"

If FC Bayern plays for the Champions League title, there will be no spectators in the stadium. The professionals thanked their fans in an open letter.

Munich - The most important game of the season for FC Bayern will take place on Sunday evening . A season that has never been seen before. The corona pandemic is not only causing a turning point in everyday life for the population, their job is anything but normal for footballers: a long game break, a postponed European Championship and a Champions League *, which will be decided in knockout mode, just to name a few examples.

But something else seems strange to the professionals. As much as they enjoy doing their job, it's not even half as fun without the atmosphere in the stadium. No exuberant cheers in the curve after a goal, no fan chants. Just work according to the rules. Since the games were resumed after the lockdown due to the spreading corona virus *, fans have been locked out.

They are so important for the atmosphere that football fans love so much. FC Bayern knows that too. Therefore, before the final in the premier class against Paris Saint-Germain, he sent an open letter to the fans and thanked them for the "loyal support".

"Unfortunately, dear fans, you will be absent from our Champions League final against Paris St. Germain in Portugal on Sunday," wrote the FC Bayern * professionals in a letter published on social media on Saturday. "We miss you - and we will give everything to make your and our dream come true," it continues.

The club's motto, "Mia San Mia", which has been creating an identity since the triple in 2013, is also impressively reflected in the letter. "Whether in Lisbon, in Munich or wherever in the world - we see our club as a family, and so we tackle this big game side by side," write the Bayern professionals.
