Maccabi Haifa striker Muhammad Awad has signed a new 3-year contract at the club and he will be loaned to the team in Europe in the coming days. At the player's request, a sales clause was included in the contract that will stand at one and a half million euros.
Awad, 23, initially refused to sign a new contract, but when he realized he had no choice, otherwise he would have to stay in the stands this season, he relented and signed an agreement with a significant economic upgrade. Either way, the player prefers to go abroad and this is likely to happen as well.
Just last month, new coach Barak Bachar spoke with Awad and promised him to be a significant screw in the team he is building in Carmel. Despite this, the player preferred to leave, or alternatively end the last year of his contract and go abroad as a free agent. In Haifa strongly opposed this and made it clear that he would have to sign a new contract otherwise he will not be released. Nearly 4 years ago.
