Maccabi Tel Aviv is considering the possibility of adding Anthony Gil, significant gaps between the parties
Quincy Acey's replacement? The power forward who recently left Moscow Khimki demands significantly higher sums than the Yellows are able to offer, but the fact that he was left without a team leaves room for optimism.

Summary: Maccabi Tel Aviv - Riga 0: 2
A little over a month remains until the scheduled start date of the Euroleague season, and Maccabi Tel Aviv has not yet completed its roster. As we reported last week, the Yellows are looking for a replacement for Quincy Acey, with whom contacts have not led to the signing of a contract, and one of the names that has come up recently is Anthony Gil, a player of the Moscow Khimki in recent years.

Walla! Sports learned that at this point the cost of age is still very far from what the Yellows can offer, and that initial talks on the subject that have taken place recently have not brought him near Elijah. At the same time, the fact that most of the Euroleague teams have already closed the squad for the 2020/21 season leaves an opening for him to be flexible and for the Yellows to be able to bring him on.
Gil (27, 2.03), a 2016 University of Virginia graduate, was not initially marked as a star in European basketball. In the summer of 2016 he signed in Ludwisburg, but failed medical tests, left the team and signed Basilgirson from the first Turkish league. After a good season in Turkey he surprisingly signed for Moscow Khimki and played for the team for three seasons until he was released last summer. His last season on the team was his weakest with 8.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game after two years with a double-digit average. He is considered a forward with a more offensive orientation than Quincy Acey, and holds a good hand off the arc.
