It was a day of celebration for the National 2 clubs. After five months spent away from the lawns due to the health crisis, the players were finally able to find the joys and adrenaline of competition.
In Group A , if the always ambitious Fleury ideally started his season with a success at home against Saint-Malo (2-1) with in particular a goal from his rookie William Gros, Malagasy international, the promoted Versailles was, him, inclined to Vannes, one of the favorites of the group, in added time. Note that Chartres, one of the attractions of the division and now coached by Jean-Pierre Papin, lost to Saint-Pryvé Saint-Hilaire following two goals in stoppage time.

In Group B , the Lusitanos managed the card of the day by winning 4-1 against the reserve of Reims. A successful return for the iconic Aderito Moreira, now general manager alongside coach Ronald Zizi. After a complicated offseason (17 starts) and mixed preparation matches, FC 93 (union of Bobigny, Bagnolet and Gagny), has perfectly released its new name with a success against the Auxerre reserve (2-1). Paris 13 Atletico (ex-Gobelins) was beaten at Schiltigheim. Entente SSG concedes a draw (0-0) against Corsican Gazélec Ajaccio, one of the favorites of the group after having experienced two runs in a row (from L2 to N2).
