Žižić (23, 2.08) is a graduate of the youth department of Split, who played for Cibona Zagreb and Gorica in the first league in his country, including with his brother Andrea who won with Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Euroleague in 2014. During the 2016/17 season he moved to David Blatt's Drushpaka and registered Media 9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in the Euroleague. Even before arriving in Turkey, Žižić was selected 23rd in the draft by Boston, which sent him in the summer of 2017 in a trade to Cleveland.
