"Nothing can compare to the level of excitement I had in football, especially when I played in England. Unfortunately, everything I do is no longer like that," admits Eyal Berkowitz. "I put up with it and I live with it. I was lucky enough to continue my second career in the media as well, but the excitement is not similar."  

Walla! Sport launches today (Friday) a new podcast, "Double Team", presented by Ahrela Weisberg and Yaniv Tuchman.

Berkowitz, the first guest on the show, spoke as usual with great openness on all current issues - from the candidacy for the Israeli national team, for the political interviews he holds on his show with Ofira Asaig in Rainbow 12 to the new season in the Football Premier League.

Berkowitz attacked the current generation of Israeli footballers, who he says are not doing enough to bring fans back to the stands. "It's our drug, and without the crowd it's not football," he claimed. "If the players were to unite and say they were not playing, they would take care of bringing back the crowd. They are probably not charismatic and strong enough. I would make a revolt between all the players for that to happen."

Regarding the expected season, Berkowitz surprised with his predictions: "Maccabi Tel Aviv has weakened and I will bet on Maccabi Haifa as champions." And who, in his opinion, will be the descendants? Who can be the black horse? Who operates his Instagram page? And will he join politics in the future?
