District - running is always possible - even in Corona times. According to this motto, several athletes from the district were recently in action at various competitions. We have an overview.

Dortmund: What sprinter Raffieu Deen Johnson managed to do at the “Puma Jump n 'Run” meeting in Dortmund is a real feat. The sprinter of TSV Penzberg equalized his personal best times over the 100 meters (10.80 seconds) and the 200 meters (22.08 seconds). “I am satisfied with both of my performances. But I know there is more, ”said the 20-year-old.

Raffieu Deen Johnson equalized the best time over two sprint distances

He completed the 100 meters in 10.90 seconds in the preliminary run and reached the A final. There he climbed to 10.80 seconds with a tailwind, which gave him fourth place. The victory won Luis Brandner (LAC Erfurt) in 10.36 seconds. After the run it started to rain heavily, the sports festival had to be interrupted for more than an hour. Many runners then decided not to start a 200-meter start in wet and cold conditions. Raffieu Deen Johnson was not deterred and set his best time from the previous year. He was fourth again. The fastest of the day was Maximilian Kremser (Solinger LC) with 21.53 seconds.

Oberursel: There are also challenging trail routes in the low mountain ranges. One of them is the “ Golden Segment Germany ” in Oberursel im Taunus. At 31.3 kilometers you have to conquer 1530 meters of altitude. If you run the fastest time on the route for women and men from July 15 to October 1 (the rating is run via the Strava app), you will get a place in the final of the Golden World Trail Series in the Azores - the is the unofficial trail world championship.

Markus Brennauer shines on the trail in the Taunus

Markus Brennauer and Max Weigand from TSV Penzberg accepted the challenge. Brennauer ran the course for the second time and is in third place with a time of 2:38:00 hours. There are only two absolute top people ahead of him: Florian Neuschwander (2:24:37) and the Belgian Florent Caelen (2:30:52). Neuschwander was runner-up in the 2013 ultra-trail world championship, Caelen is an Olympian in the marathon. His best time over the 42.2 kilometers is 2:12:15 hours.

Brennauer was "completely satisfied" with his time at the second appearance. The fact that he started this time without a club colleague played no role for him: “I can push myself to the limit on my own.” In addition, he now knew the route - the day before he also visited a few neuralgic areas and thus identified an ideal line. There are eleven fallen trees at kilometer . The first time "I scrambled over it, now I've been looking for a way around". That alone saved a lot of time. Up to around kilometer 15, "everything worked perfectly," says the Penzberger. However, he did not find a drinking bottle left in the forest, and only a little later did his wife Conny Lechner-Brennauer give him a drink. "It took a while until the energy was back," reports the 40-year-old. In relation to the end time, that probably cost three to four minutes. Competing with the trail running elite is a great incentive for him, says Brennauer, especially since so many competitions have already been canceled this year. "You just need a goal."

In the first run in Oberursel, he completed the distance in 2:46:29 hours. Club colleague Max Weigand arrived after 3:00:00 hours. The two TSV athletes initially ran together, with Weigand dictating the pace uphill and Brennauer being faster downhill. Several times they had to look for the right path and lost time as a result. At 20 km, Brennauer pulled away. “My left knee and right thigh gave me problems,” said Weigand.

Ohlstadt: The LG Staffelsee-Murnau is an active association. After a long Corona break, LG Chairman Helmut Risser and his colleagues wanted to offer the athletes in the region another competition. The result was the “1. Ohlstädter Buckelwiesentrail ”. The participants ran for a certain time on a demanding circuit (2.2 kilometers / 35 meters in altitude) - the men 60 minutes, the women 40 minutes. At temperatures around 30 degrees it was a challenge. "The track was almost in full sun," reported Peter Grünebach from Pollingen. The respective kilometer results were offset against an officially recognized age coefficient.

Ralf Kaufmann from SC Huglfing became the “King of the Moguls”. He had completed 12.36 kilometers within the competition time. With his factor (0.8444) he came to 14.64 kilometers and displaced Hubert Maier (LG Murnau Staffelsee) in second place, who had actually managed 12.50 kilometers. Maier had 13.27 kilometers to book in the calculated list - and thus just as much as LG boss Risser (10.41 kilometers in real terms). Ranks four to six were taken by district athletes: Peter Grünebach (Team Erdinger alcohol-free / 12.90), Lothar Kirsch (Post SV Weilheim / 11.46) and Rüdiger Brand (SC Huglfing / 11.22).

Marianne Grünebach from Polling secured the title “Queen of moguls”. She had run 5.44 kilometers, by the coefficient she came to a value of 7.37 kilometers. Second was Birgit Kirsch (Post SV Weilheim), who had run 6.07 kilometers and finished 7.02 kilometers. Third place was taken by Monika Heitzinger, who had run the furthest (6.75 kilometers). The factor 1 applied to her, that is, her result did not change.
