About 15 years ago, boxer Manaf Asaad started his sports career, during which he scored many remarkable results locally and internationally before heading to training in the sport of noble art, as athletes used to call it for many years.

Asaad, 29, entered the sport from the weightlifting portal in 2005, but after one year he found himself in the boxing rings at Al-Tali'a Club, a player aspiring to fulfill his dream of local and international championships.

In a statement to the representative of Sana Al-Riyadi, Asaad said: “I started practicing boxing under the supervision of the international coach Suleiman Faraj Al-Sheikh, who is classified among the experts of the game. After a period of training, I managed to enter the atmosphere of local competitions and won many titles in the Republic Championships according to the categories that I participated in by weight and as a result of my obtaining many From the advanced centers in the local championships, I was selected to join the national team and represent it in its foreign participation.

Asaad reviewed his achievements with the national team, the most prominent of which was the gold medal of the Atrawa tournament in Kazakhstan in 2016, the bronze of the Arab championship in Qatar 2011, the silver of the International Baqaa tournament in Jordan, the bronze of the dawn session in Iran in 2009, the silver of the Pakistan 2012 session and the silver of the elite tournament in 2016 in addition to his participation in many The continental and international championships were the most prominent of which were the Mediterranean Games in Italy, the Stringada tournament in Bulgaria in the same year, the World Military Championship in Brazil, the qualification course for the London Olympics that was held in Kazakhstan, and the Asian Championships in Thailand.

Asaad pointed out that he maintained the title of the Republic Championship until the end of his career in the game, as it ended with the gold of the Republic Championship, and then went to the world of training through the Boxing Training Center in Hama, which includes many distinguished players who won many gold medals in the Republic Championships in all categories.

Asaad, who represented the national team as a coach in the Asian Junior Championships that was held in Kuwait last year, concluded that he aspires to graduate more champions in the game to raise the Syrian flag high in the coronation podiums, especially after the remarkable results of his players, wishing to support the distinguished players to encourage them to continue training and competition.
