Aouita reviewed his career with the sport of the mother of games and the story of his struggle and reaching the highest levels of glory when he first won the bronze in the 1500 meters at the World Championships in Helsinki in 1983, then the gold in the 5000 meters in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and the gold in the 1500 meters, smashing the world record in the championship The world in Germany in 1984 and the gold medal in the 5000 meters in the 1987 World Championships in Rome and the bronze in the 800 meters in the 1988 Seoul Olympics, in addition to many championships, titles and achievements.
The world champion revealed that the existence of academies specialized in athletics is very important in discovering talents and nurturing them from a young age and allocating them with a type of races commensurate with talent in terms of physical structure, and then the construction process takes place from four to six years under the supervision of high-level coaches to pick fruits later in achieving achievements Locally and internationally.
Aweita pointed out that doping is the athlete's first enemy, as they will not help him, but rather contribute to destroying him like Corona, indicating that training and perseverance on him is the basis for building the athlete in addition to the psychological factor so that the athlete is mentally prepared and focused on his race before every championship or merit.
Aouita noted the great role that sports media plays in shedding light on athletes and their achievements, pointing out that the media is not only a partner with sports, but rather is a basis for it because sport without media is deficient even if a great achievement occurs.
Aouita was born in 1959 in the Moroccan city of Kenitra and was able to break world records for the 1500-meter races 3.39.46 minutes in 1985 and 2000 meters 4.50.81 minutes in 1987 and three thousand meters 7.29.45 minutes in 1989 and five thousand meters 13.00.40 minutes in 1985 and 12.58.39 minutes in 1987 and he supervised the training of runners.
