The Czech Football Association announced the cancellation of the scheduled match between the Czech Republic and Scotland next week in the European Nations League due to fears of the Corona virus, hours after Prague won outside Slovakia by three goals for a goal.
The Czech Federation indicated in a statement via Twitter quoted by Reuters that the Czechs will not play against Scotland next Monday due to the current situation of Covid 19, adding that the team has finished its current preparations after defeating Slovakia.
In turn, the Scottish Federation said on Twitter that it was aware of reports of the Czechs canceling the match, explaining that it had not received any official notification and requested clarification from the European Football Association "UEFA".
And the president of the Czech club Slavia Prague announced shortly before the match against Slovakia that he would request the withdrawal of many of his team's players from the Czech squad after another positive case of Covid-19 emerged for a member of the national team.
Westham United midfielder Thomas Sochik and Roma striker Patrick Schick missed the Slovakia game after the duo entered quarantine after contact with a member of the coaching staff who was infected with Corona.
