After FC Bayern Munich broke up with an employee of its youth department on August 17 after allegations of racism, there is now a second investigation.

This is reported by the WDR magazine "Sport Inside" with reference to the Munich public prosecutor.

The public prosecutor's office confirmed the investigation to SPIEGEL in the afternoon.

"Sport Inside" first reported on the suspicion of racism on the Bayern Campus in August.

Accordingly, serious allegations would be made against the employee, who had been active as a trainer in the youth department since 2003 and was promoted to sports director of the U9 to U15 teams in 2016.

The employee allegedly used racist expressions in discussions about the obligation of players.

"Sport Inside" referred to documents such as letters and chat histories that the magazine should have available.

Thereupon the state security initiated an investigation.

Research by SPIEGEL showed that the statements fit into the image that the accused conveyed on campus with his demeanor, his tone and his methods.

The accused defended himself against the allegations and had filed a lawsuit with the Munich Labor Court at the end of August.

In the second investigation, it should now again go to the said former youth coach and his possible business relationship with a player's agent.

There are "open-ended investigations" because of a possible "corruption in business dealings", the public prosecutor is quoted by the WDR as saying.

The trigger was an anonymous complaint that was made a few months ago against the youth coach and the players' agent.

According to "Sport Inside", numerous parents were urged by the stressed youth coach to work with a certain player adviser and to part with their previous manager.

These allegations had already surfaced in anonymous letters to FC Bayern in September 2018, writes the magazine.

There it also says: Against the background of such allegations, the public prosecutor is now also examining possible cash flows and the extent to which youth players with "wrong" advisors on campus are no longer able to play.

Both the player agent and the youth coach denied the allegations to "Sport Inside".

Both emphasized that they were not yet aware of the preliminary investigation.

The first labor court hearing between FC Bayern and the former coach should take place on September 28th.
