After Bogdan Planic and Ihab al-'Abid, Maccabi Haifa announced their third signing this summer with the addition of Jose Rodriguez.
The 25-year-old Spanish midfielder comes from Malaga, having played on loan at Fuenlabrada for the past six months.
Three years ago, Rodriguez played one season at Maccabi Tel Aviv under Jordi Cruyff and left no mark in the Premier League, but apparently impressed Barak Bachar, who marched Hapoel Beer Sheva to its third consecutive championship that season.

Rodriguez grew up in Real Madrid, was the Blancos' youngest player in the Champions League and recorded one league minute in Spain.
He also played for Glatsray and Deportivo La Coruna before being acquired by Mainz in 2016.
After an unsuccessful half-season in the Bundesliga, which included a five-minute suspension from the start of his debut, he was loaned to Malaga until the end of the season.
The following summer he was loaned to Maccabi Tel Aviv, in the media he recorded 22 games in all competitions with only two goals, was a partner in the Yellows' victory in the Toto Cup and finished with them in second place.
After leaving Israel, Rodriguez was loaned out once again, this time to the Dutch Fortuna Citard, and in the summer of 2019 he was acquired by Malaga, and after half a season in the media, he was loaned to Fuenlabrada, also from the second division in Spain.
Rodriguez also went through all of Spain's youth teams and served as captain of the team until the age of 19 at Euro 2013.
