The Los Angeles Lakers took another big step toward the Western Conference tonight (Thursday-Friday), beating Houston 100-110 and taking a 1-3 lead in the series.
The Lakers, who knew even before the start of the series that they enjoyed a significant height advantage, dominated tonight under the baskets and took good advantage of their big man, center Anthony Davis, who finished with 29 points and 12 rebounds.
LeBron James was one assist away from a triple-double when he finished with 16 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists, in a game in which the winners dominated the rebound - 26:52.

An important contribution.

The Lakers led safely throughout the first half, and by the fourth quarter were already leading by 23 points, but then went into minutes of confusion, and Houston managed to take advantage of that (including four consecutive turnovers for the Lakers) to record a 2:19 run and shrink to 103:96.
But then the Lakers once again gave the ball to Davis (saved by Eric Gordon) and the chin closed the story and promised his teammates a significant advantage.
Houston's problem: When LeBron James achieves three wins in the series and rises to 1: 3, he is in the 0:13 balance in the playoffs.
The balance in his favor.

Russell Westbrook scored 25 points for the Rockets, while James Harden settled for 21 points on 2 of 11 from the field.
Eric Gordon (19) and Austin Rivers (14) stood out in Houston, but the numbers show dominance of the winners: the Lakers won 24:62 on points in color, 3:17 on points on second chance and 2:19 on points in bursts.
The Lakers' defense was significant again, and after stopping Houston on 38 points in the second half of Game 3, tonight they stopped Houston on 41 points in the first half, during which they saw the Lakers run to 23:41 while the Rockets faltered from the field (4 of In those minutes).
Another frustrating evening.

Where have the Rockets been for three quarters?
"Good question," Harden said at the end, while coach Mike Dantoni added, "We know we're in a big hole right now, but the next game is the game we have to win. If we play the way we played in the last quarter, it's going to be fine."
