Maccabi Tel Aviv coach Georgios Donis waited for the return of the Israeli national team players from the senior and junior games and on Tuesday evening held a sharp meeting in the presence of the entire staff.
The Greek did not forget the loss to Maccabi Petah Tikva in the opening round and especially did not restrain the penalty shootout between Nick Blackman and Jonathan Cohen.
"Without strong discipline we will not reach our goals," Donis told the players regarding the quarrel between the two strikers over the right to kick the penalty.
Donis put his believing self in the ears of the players and made it clear that he did not want to engage in disciplinary matters at a club like Maccabi Tel Aviv.
As you may recall, at the end of the game, a heated confrontation developed between the two players at the entrance to the locker room, with Blackman wanting to settle accounts with Cohen for not honoring his desire to kick the penalty.

Alongside Donis' clear assembly, it is not inconceivable that both players will also be fined for the event.
It is also still unclear whether they will open on Saturday against Bnei Yehuda.
A Maccabi Tel Aviv player said last night: "This whole incident does not fit what Maccabi Tel Aviv wants to be. The coach said what he had on his mind since the game. He waited for the national team players to return to practice, because there was no point in talking in such a sparse presence."
