The former Iraqi national team star, coach Nazem Shaker, died today, after being infected with the new Corona virus.
Nazem Shaker, who was born in 1958, represented the Iraq national team for many years in the seventies and eighties, and was part of his squad in the 1986 World Cup Finals in Mexico, before he finally retired in 1988.
Shaker then went to the training field and the first team worked with him as a coach was the Iraqi Al-Salam Club in 1992. He also trained many Iraqi, Jordanian and Emirati clubs. He was assigned in 2010 as coach for the Iraqi team, but he resigned at the beginning of 2011 after Iraq lost to Iran in the West Asian Championship.
