Hansa Rostock is allowed to let 7500 spectators into the stadium for the DFB Cup match against VfB Stuttgart on Sunday (3:30 p.m., live ticker SPIEGEL.de, TV: Sky), but the third division soccer team is having a hard time selling the tickets.
On Friday noon there were still 2000 remaining tickets available.
Previously, season ticket holders and members could use their right of first refusal.
Only registered fans who have already purchased tickets for Hansa in the past are entitled to purchase the remaining tickets.
A maximum of two tickets per person can be issued.
Fans of VfB Stuttgart are not allowed due to the corona restrictions.
Overall, fewer fans will probably watch the games of the first round of the cup live in the stadium than would usually fit in a Bundesliga stadium alone.
No visitors are allowed for nine games over the weekend, and a maximum of 500 for 16 games. In the game between Dynamo Dresden and Hamburger SV, the number of spectators could even reach five figures.
You can find an overview of the provisions for the first round of the cup here.
