The Colombian Daniel Martínez won the 13th stage of the Tour de France.

On the last meters of the mountain arrival at Puy Mary he prevailed against the German Bora professional Lennard Kämna, with whom he had delivered a spectacular final on the last climb.

Kämna's team-mate Maximilian Schachmann had led the field for a long time, but fell behind Martínez and Kämna before the steep final climb.

During the tour of Lombardy in August, Schachmann broke his collarbone, and his participation was questionable for a long time.

Now he came in third.

In the overall standings, the Slovenian Primoz Roglic successfully defended his yellow jersey from the Colombian Egan Bernal.
