Following the execution of Naveed Afkari, Iranian wrestling champion, Israel Judo Association chairman Moshe Ponti called on the International Olympic Committee and the sports world to stand beside the Iranian athletes.
"The whole world should be shocked by the execution of Naveed Afkari, Iranian wrestler, S'haz ' To protest against the regime, "Ponti wrote." He added Ponty: "The International Olympic Committee and with athletes all over the world to stand beside Iranian athletes, to enable them to exercise their abilities in sports, and leave the politics out.
