2020-09-13T22:31:55.279Z

After nine years of famine, Marseille supporters are savoring the success acquired against PSG on Sunday evening.

Horns everywhere in the city and firecrackers, fireworks and red smoke on the Old Port: the Marseillais exulted Sunday evening to have finally managed to beat the PSG (1-0) in Paris, after nine years of "Clasico" without glory.

At Cours Julien, the bars were crowded to watch the match broadcast on Téléfoot and the atmosphere became tense with the five end-of-match red cards.

At the final whistle, young people on scooters were celebrating chanting: "We have beaten the capital".

"I should have put the million, I should have sold my house on this match", launches a young man to his friends on the Canebière.

Not surprisingly, hundreds of people converged on the Old Port, laptops in hand to immortalize the event.

With the traditional brave or more sober insults: "Marseillais, Marseillais, go, go".

On Twitter, some let loose like the LR deputy of Bouches-du-Rhône, Eric Diard: “Where is the #psg?

#PSGOM ”.

The 2nd assistant of the city of Marseille, Samia Ghali, wrote for her part: "9 years, 1 goal, 1 victory, 1 very good team of @ OM_Officiel but an end of the match that we could have done without".

“Now let's savor the victory in peace and remember to protect yourself, we have not yet won against # COVID19,” she added, however.
